Hi, my name is Morgen Neuhauser. I am a second year at Drake University studying multimedia journalism and public relations. I am from Barrington, IL. My family is large, with an older sister and two younger brothers, I am never lonely. I enjoy hiking, reading, watching movies, and hanging out with friends and family. Every day I seek personal growth for myself and others, loving to nurture potential by being kind to everyone when life gets hard.
I work as a student supervisor at Cowles Library. My primary responsibilities include shelving books, monitoring other student workers, and assisting patrons of the library. This requires me to be organized, innovative in my problem-solving, and think analytically and critically, while also allowing me to nurture my love of books and writing. Additionally, I work as a staff writer and social media manager for the Times Delphic This summer, I interned at The Woodstock Independent as an assignment reporter, which gave me many opportunities to cover interesting events and interview notable people. During my time at these publications, I have gained practical experience that has challenged me to become a better writer. For example, I have interviewed many notable political figures, which taught me how to write a profile of someone in the public eye. My job here also consists of co-writing stories with other staff writers. All these stories helped me grow my skills in team collaboration, verbal communication, and project leadership.
